LEIC hosted the Firearms Trafficking and Interdiction Techniques Training in Knoxville in February. More than 200 officers attended the informative sessions featuring nationally recognized facilitators. The presentations were focused on using proven procedures and techniques to effectively arrest and prosecute criminal cases involving firearms cases. The program is a collaborative effort among the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the National Crime Prevention Center, the National District Attorneys Association and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and was co-sponsored by the U.S. Attorney's Office-Eastern District of Tennessee.
